I have been offering lash lifts longer than anyone else in Orange County. As an esthetician for 20 years and a lash extension artist of 16 years, I knew I needed to offer this to my clients when it first popped up on my radar in 2015. At that time, Yumi was the only high end option that offered in person training so I started there. Soon after, as more training and more product lines came available I stayed on top of it and now have 10 years and 4 trainings under my belt as well as 8 years of training artists myself. I love offering lash extensions but there is a difference between artists and products. I am here today to share with you absolutely every question my clients have asked me the past 10 years, and the best answers available, based off of my experience and receiving amazing consistent results.

  • Can I get them wet?
    • Yes! Totally! Keep hot water off of them for 24 hours but they are made for you to get them wet and for most products, water isn't the issue. Hot water is the issue. It can trigger the ingredients that process the lashes and, without having a rod or shield in place, they will curl back and into the lid. I have only seen this twice in my ten years of lifts but it does happen and is completely avoidable.

  • How do I care for them after?
    • Do not expose them to steam or hot water for 24 hours after the keratin lash lift and make sure to use the daily clear keratin treatment daily after you wash your face for best results.

  • How do I prep for my appointment?
    • To prep for your lash lift all you need to do is avoid waterproof mascara and eyeliner for 3 days prior, wash your eyes before coming to your treatment and don't curl them the day of your appointment.

  • Can I sleep on my stomach?
    • Do not! Especially the first 24 hrs. I do have clients that say they regularly sleep on their stomach but they also listen and do everything in their power to sleep on their back for a few days minimum after receiving their lift. I'm talking pillows under the legs, and a pillow on each side to make it hard to roll over in the middle of the night and that works.

  • When can I use make up?
    • After 24 hrs. If you use waterproof mascara, please refrain from using it for the 3 days prior to your appointment.

  • Do I need make up?
    • Nope. I go without make up after receiving a lift and a tint. At 4 weeks my tint wears off so I redo my tint which totally revamps my lift and my results! I don't need make up now. I choose to wear it for special events, but sometimes even then I choose to pass on liner and mascara because I just don't need it.

  • How often can I receive a lash lift?
    • 8 weeks, but those of my clients that use the daily keratin treatment I have available tend to not need one for about 10 weeks. Fast hair growing women will wind up needing one every 8 weeks for sure.

  • What is the difference between getting a lash lift from you and getting one from the nail shop near me?
    • Not all but most nail shops cheap out on product and this is why they charge less also. I, on the other hand, have invested in my education surrounding this topic and tried most lash lift products so I know what works best, what products damage lashes and what products repair and nourish them. I also have over 10 years of experience doing them which isn't typical in this industry as this service is still relatively new. I also have a great eye for lash shapes, as I have been doing lash extensions for over 16 years so I can also choose different rod and shield shapes for you based on your own unique eye shape. You will not get the "one size fits all" treatment from me here.

  • Will keratin lash lifts damage my lashes?
    • Absolutely not, if you come to me. I use products that take longer to process but because of that, they are less likely to over process which is how lashes get damaged. I also include a regenerative treatment with my tint and a keratin treatment at the end that conditions and hydrates. This ensures you leave with lashes that are healthier and stronger than when you first came in. Many of my clients notice their lashes becoming longer and stronger over time due to the added treatments I include and due to the daily keratin treatment that I recommend at home.
